M ost people don't really believe I started in photography at 10 years old. That's really when my father started teaching me how to print in a make shift dark room in our basement on a second hand Federal enlarger.

Becoming a part time Four Color Offset Operator at 17; in the heart of paper and packaging country, learning the graphic arts meant learning how to work in the offset environment. My early start in the darkroom gave me an advanced understanding of the process elements. The four-color Heidelberg has always been a wonder of photo-mechanical efficiency.

After attending school and working full time for a few years, I became a Commercial Photographic Studio Manager by 24; After five years of working on the images of the area's best and most respected photographers, the next logical step was to move into commercial photography.

I was brought in to be trained by Eastman Kodak in First Generation Digital Photographic Imaging; When the Eastman Kodak company selected a group of experienced technicians to develop and refine a process they would implement in all their labs across the globe.

The Q-Lab Process Monitoring System, Kodak DCS camera, and the revolutionary digital quality archive system-The Kodak ProPhoto CD Platform, were just a few of the systems I was trained on in their earliest days.

Eventually I became a Digital Output Specialist; before leaving the darkroom for the digital frontier, I spent a lot of time learning the latest imaging technologies. That's when  I joined one of the largest reprographic companies in the world, working to implement the latest technologies, and maintaining network interfaces for a large array of production elements.
